The Morado Glaciar is located inside Arenas Park, a private conservation park in Santiago's backyard. This park is very close to Santiago and within 2 hours-drive we reach the beginning of the trail. This glacier is among the most emblematic in the area. Even if it is close to the city, we have the impression of being on the other side of the world.

The trail crosses moraines and steep stretches culminating on the El Morado lagoon plateau. This trip takes around 3 hours to the base of Mt. El Morado at 3260 masl, where it's hanging glacial falls into the lagoon of the same name. An incredible and hard-to-believe landscape that is so close to a city such as Santiago.

This visit is among the most recommended during your visit to Santiago. It allows you to access places in which you still feel wild, where old glaciers hang, and where it still conserves the native flora and fauna of the mountain range. Try this experience and step into the rich valley of Cajon del Maipo, the symbol of the metropolitan region.

Caminata al glaciar el Morado? Por supuesto! La atención y la experiencia son tanto únicas como inigualables. Para quien guste de un reto físico, estar en contacto con la naturaleza y ver parajes increíbles, esta es la aventura indicada. Recomendados totalmente! En los 3 últimos años ya he salido unas 10 veces con Puma Adventures, a lugares como cerro provincia, cerro minillas, cerro carpa, cerro alto hotel, glaciar colgante el morado, glaciar Nieves negras, cerro el pintor, cerro el manchón, alto las vizcachas y refugio aleman.Me encanta salir con Puma Adventures porque:- los guías me dan confianza (dominio técnico, no dejar a nadie solo, son precavidos con la seguridad y el clima)- los grupos no son muy grandes, así que se forma un buen ambiente- se hace un esfuerzo para que participe gente con las condiciones físicas adecuadas para cada actividad- los recorridos son variados- las experiencias quedan inmortalizadas con cámara profesional del guía- y en general… porque lo pasamos súper bien!

Excelente experiencia Fui al Cerro el Pintor, una muy buena experiencia desde la planificación del viaje, buena organización, dieron indicaciones precisas de lo que necesitaba para subir, las especificaciones y exigencias del trayecto. Tolle Touren und super Guides Ich war mit den Pumas bereits zweimal unterwegs (Cerro Manchón und Laguna Copín) und habe die Touren sehr genossen. Vicente und Javiera sind hervorragende Guides, sie kümmern sich bestens um die ganze Gruppe, tragen Sorge zur Umwelt und ermöglichen mit ihrer aufgestellten Art eine sehr tolle und motivierende Atmosphäre. Excelente panorama Javi y Vicente son un equipo tremendo; muy profesionales y motivadores. Maravilloso Cerro Canoitas !!! Excelente experiencia con los Puma !!!He subido en cuatro ocasiones hermosas rutas con ellos y son maravillosos...Javiera y Vicente siempre preocupados hasta el último detalle.Imposible no valorar que ¨Nunca dejan a nadie atrás ¨También. muy importante destacar la evaluación previa que realizan antes.En resumen, los recomiendo al 100 porque tienen rutas no muy concurridas y en especial la ruta Cerro Canoitas que me encantó !!!
